Visualization

"Meditation can renew both mind and body. By Pacifying stress that is based upon projection, true relaxation can be attained. What spring forth will be in accordance with your real needs."
-I Ching no. 52

So you want to practice psi? Well in order to be successful you need VISUALIZATION. As said by Jerry Lynch, "Visualization is an active form of meditation in which you relax and choose to view images in your mind's eye that will influence your emotions and energy." (Thinking Body Dancing Mind, pg 16)What does this mean? It means, the more you visualize a positive, or negative outcome, of a practice session the more in that direction you will go. So if you visualize yourself being able to move the psiwheel in complete control and continue to visualize this outcome for some time, eventually you will be able to move the psiwheel the way you want to.

Visualization is not just important when practicing Psychokinesis, it is also important when practicing energy manipulation as well. Let's say you want to make a psi-cube. Well what do you do? You sit down in a comfortable position, relax, and imagine the psi energy flowing to your hands and taking the shape of a cube. The more your practice this visualization the quicker and easier it will become to execute.

In order to be successful you need to keep the images positive. If suddenly you visualize yourself doing something that's not positive and losing confidence in yourself, just gently remind yourself that others before you have done what you are trying to do and since you and that you have the same power to do what they can do.

Many famous athletes have used visualization to help them succeed; Jack Nicklaus, Mary Lou Retton, Elizabeth Manley, Sue Holloway. That doesn't mean you can't use the same method they do. Make the situation advantageous for yourself; visualize.

Here's a quick run through of what a visualization session can be like.

In order to relax, we will be concentrating on deep abdominal breathing. It's very simple. You breath through your and not through your mouth. Breath slowly and deeply and pay attention to your chest and abdomen and it moves with your breathing. Remember to not breathe forcefully because this may cause you to hyperventilate (not to mention you may relaxation).

Breathe deeply for five counts and feel yourself relax and focus. After you have breathed five times, begin visualizing what you want to accomplish. Spend as much time as you want for this part. You can spend five to 60 minutes if you want. It doesn't matter.

Make sure that as soon as you are done visualizing, you do not want to abruptly snap out of this relaxing meditative state. Breathe deeply for five counts again and then slowly bring yourself back.

The key to visualization is being calm, passive and relaxed while visualizing. This will bring about the best most effective results because in a calm relaxed state you have more focus. You need to try and put fourth as much energy as you can to staying focused to your visualization. This technique will become easier for you when you practice, so make sure you try to practice visualizing as often as you have skill sessions.
